Where It All Began

The story of Lapli Beauty actually starts with my daughter, Summer, born in 2018. When she hit about six or seven months old, she started dealing with stubborn eczema. Like any mom, I was on a mission to find a solution. After my mom group suggested rubbing breast milk on her trouble spots, I did some digging and realized I could actually turn that "liquid gold" into soaps and lotions.

Now, if you know me, you know I’m a bit extra. When I love something, I want the whole world to experience it! I whipped up a batch for Summer, saw it worked, and immediately made more to share with family and friends.

The result? Let’s just say they didn’t exactly "appreciate the gesture" once they found out the main ingredient was mybreast milk. I took the hint and moved on, but that spark for creating natural remedies stayed with me.

The 2020 Pivot

Fast forward to 2020. I’ve always been a crafter at heart and a huge believer in natural beauty (I even cleared up my own dark underarms back in 2014 using natural methods—ask me about that later!). I knew I wanted a side hustle that fueled my passion, so I turned to YouTube.

It’s like Siri was listening to my thoughts, because an influencer popped up on my feed with a video titled: "How I made $10,000 selling lip glosses."

I was sold! I started with lip glosses, but as I grew, I realized that while the gloss was fun, soaps and butters are where my heart truly lives.

More Than Just Skincare

Lapli Beauty evolved from a necessity for my daughter into a sanctuary for me. Somewhere between diapers and nap schedules, I realized I had gotten a little lost in "Mom Mode." I needed to remember how to love myself again.

I’m just a girl who loves all things skincare, fun, and colorful. I believe that self-care isn’t selfish, and we all deserve a moment in the day that is just for us.
